Shipping Questions

 Q: Where can my order be shipped?

We can ship anywhere domestically or internationally as long as a complete physical address is provided. Orders are primarily shipped through UPS, but Canada Post is used to send letter mail and ship to PO box addresses.

We offer free in-store pickup and worldwide flat-rate shipping (excluding fragile art, which requires special shipping and handling, we will contact you with additional information with packaging and shipping estimates when we confirm your order.)

Shipping zones and rates before taxes:

  • British Columbia: $15.00
  • Canada: $20.00
  • United States: $25.00 
  • Europe: $45.00
  • Asia: $75.00
  • Oceania: $75.00
  • All other locations: $75.00

Our expected delivery dates for shipments within British Columbia are between 5 to 7 business days; 10 to 14 business days within Canada and North America; and 2 to 3 business weeks for international shipments outside of North America. 

Q: Is insurance included? 

Orders over $100.00 CAD will include insurance in the cost of shipping.

Q: Can I pick up my order from the MOA Shop instead of having it shipped?

Orders can be picked up in-store at no additional cost. During the checkout process select the “in-store pickup” option rather than adding your address and you will see the free in-store pickup option reflected in your total. 

Your order will be confirmed within 2 to 3 business days and you will be contacted through email to advise a pickup time during MOA Shop’s regular business hours.

Q: How long do I have to pick up my order?

If you have chosen to pick up your order, you have 90 days to pick it up from MOA. You will be emailed a courtesy reminder 30 days before the pickup deadline, and a final reminder seven days before the deadline.

Q: What happens if I don't pick up my order within 90 days?

If you do not pick up your order within 90 days, your order will be cancelled and refunded to the original payment method, minus a 10% restocking fee (up to a maximum of $5). Please note, it can take up to 14 days for the refund to show in your records.

If you know in advance that you’ll be unable to pick up your order within 90 days, please notify us at shop@moa.ubc.ca. We can discuss shipping options or a full refund for your order.

Q: What taxes do I pay on my order?

Goods sold in BC have a 7% Provincial Sales Tax (PST) and 5% Federal Goods and Services Tax (GST). The following exemptions apply:

  • PST does not apply on shipping fees
  • PST does not apply to publications
  • PST does not apply on items shipped to Alberta and the Territories
  • PST and GST do not apply on items shipped outside of Canada

    Q: What payment methods can I use for my order?

    We accept Visa and Mastercard for online orders. For other payment options, please visit us in-store.

    Q: Can I pay with a MOA Shop gift card online?

    At this time MOA Shop gift cards are only accepted in-store or for phone orders. If you wish to pay with a MOA Shop gift card please contact us: shop@moa.ubc.ca, 604.827.4810.

    Q: Do I have to pay additional duty charges on my order?

    All orders of original Canadian artwork shipped outside of Canada are expected to be duty-free. However, the MOA Shop has no control over or anticipation of duty charges on international orders. Recipients are responsible for paying all applicable customs duties and taxes upon delivery. Please refer to the recipient country’s duty regulations.
